Key Role
As Cyber Security Engineer / Architect, you will serve as a subject matter expert in many areas of security. You will lead and execute a variety of engagements and projects such as the integration of security solutions as well as the security review of our customer’s environments and information systems.
This role will be part of a team of IT security and information security experts, providing excellent services to customers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include the following, but are not limited to:
- Review the design and architecture of our customers’
environments against industry security best practices and guidelines such as
NIST 800-53, ISO27001, IEC62443 and CIS Top 20 Control
- Review the configuration and hardening state of
our customers’ information assets (e.g. security and network devices,
workstations, servers, applications and middleware) against security best practices
and guidelines such as the CIS Benchmarks
- Manage and execute complex projects such as the
integration and upgrade of security solutions (firewalls, proxies, web
application firewalls, DDos, End Detection and Response, Identity and Privilege
account management solution, SIEM, vulnerability management solutions)
- Adapt industry security guidelines such as CIS
Benchmark or checklists available from the NIST Security Configuration
Checklists Repository. Where applicable customize these benchmarks to align
with our customers’ policies
- Evaluation and maintenance of security system
plans and procedures to safeguard internal information systems
What we are looking for
a) Cyber Security
Architect:
A minimum 6 years of solid
Cyber Security experience in designing, implementing, and testing Cyber
security architecture, plus having attained at least one (1) of the following:
i. Information Security
Master’s degree from U.S. National Centres of Academic Excellence in Cyber
Defence (NSA/DHS CAE) or those certified by U.K. National Cyber Security Centre
(GCHQ’s NCSC)
ii. CREST Registered
Technical Security Architect (CRTSA); or
iii. Information Systems
Security Architecture Professional (CISSP-ISSAP)
b) Cyber Security
Engineer:
A minimum 2 years of
solid Cyber Security experience in designing, implementing, and testing Cyber security
solutions
Minimum Experience:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science
or information systems, or equivalent work experience
- Strong background in security engineering including
a deep knowledge of IT network security (secure LAN, WAN, vLAN, End Point and
secure network zoning and restricted network design) and cloud-based technologies
- High proficiency in a variety of operating
systems such as Unix/Linux/Mac/Windows operating systems
- Strong background in Network Engineering
including a deep understanding of Windows Server architecture, Windows
Virtualization, Networking, Backup Solutions, and Disaster Recovery
- Strong knowledge and experience designing and
implementing technical security solutions such as secure remote access, end
point security, firewalls, web proxy, and identity management solutions both
internally and within cloud provided services
- Proven understanding of the current
vulnerabilities, response, and mitigation strategies used in cyber security
- Experience of designing and incorporating
technical security controls that align to NIST 800-53
- Strong oral and written communication skills,
including a demonstrated ability to prepare quality documentation and
presentations for technical and non-technical audiences
- CISSP or other certifications demonstrating core
technical skills
Language Skills:
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken)
- Other languages such as Mandarin is an advantage
